Dubai's Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority is considering lowering compliance costs for small crypto firms

Matthew White, CEO of the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), said at Blockchain Week in Paris on Wednesday that the agency is currently considering a number of things in order to try to make the regime and regulation work for everyone. One of them is to find a way to deal with the compliance costs of small (crypto) entities. As it stands, the agency has observed that there are not many companies with sufficient resources to be regulated, and the new regulatory package includes having larger market participants host smaller market participants.
