Analysts: The follow-up performance of the Korean won largely depends on the reaction of foreign capital to Korean stocks

Brad Bechtel, global head of FX at Jefferies, said the South Korean leadership had used the practice in the past during major political upheavals or power transitions, but it was still a concern. He believes the won will remain volatile for the time being. Much will depend on how overseas investors react to the Korean stock market. If they start selling aggressively, the dollar could rise to 1,450 against the won.
