According to the Financial Times, OpenAI is discussing plans to introduce advertising to its artificial intelligence products as the ChatGPT developer seeks new revenue streams. In an interview with the Financial Times, OpenAI Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar said the $150 billion artificial intelligence startup is considering an advertising model, adding that they plan to be cautious when and where they implement advertising.
The San Francisco-based company raised $6.60 billion in new funding in October, and according to multiple people familiar with the matter and a Financial Times analysis of LinkedIn accounts, OpenAI is recruiting advertising talent from big tech companies like Meta and Google.
