Crypto.com Sponsors First Cryptocurrency Prize Pool Golf Tournament

Crypto.com will host the first cryptocurrency prize pool golf event, Crypto.com Showdown, on December 14 at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, with a total prize amount of up to $10 million, all paid in its native token, Cronos (CRO). Contestants include Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy of the PGA Tour, as well as Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau of LIV Golf. The competition is Ryder Cup style and includes four-ball, single and alternating hitting modes. Crypto.com said the event is designed to innovate the viewing experience and introduce cryptocurrency rewards for the first time. The event will be broadcast on TNT on December 17.
