According to Reuters, a range of cryptocurrency companies, including Circle, Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase, a16z, and Paradigm, are vying for seats on President-elect Donald Trump's promised cryptocurrency advisory council, seeking a say in his planned U.S. policy reforms.
Mr. Trump, who campaigned at a bitcoin conference in Nashville in July on a promise to create a new commission as part of a cryptocurrency-friendly government, said his transition team was discussing how to organize and place people and which companies should be included.
