Circle announced in a post on the X platform that native USDC and cross-chain transport protocol CCTP are coming to Aptos, and Aptos will receive support for native USDC and CCTP, enabling developers to use USDC to build applications for a variety of use cases, including DeFi, peer-to-peer payments, cross-border remittances, global commerce, risk-weighted assets, gaming, and more.
Currently, Bridge USDC (from Ethereum) is the largest stablecoin on Aptos, with more than $140 million in circulation.
