Non-profit think tank chairperson Avik Roy: Bitcoin strategic reserve plan will not solve the US debt crisis

Speaking on stage at the North American Blockchain Summit 2024 in Dallas, Texas, the president of the nonprofit think tank (Avik Roy) said: "When Wyoming Senator Cynthia Lummis talks about how the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve Plan can help us eliminate federal debt, it's overhyped about what Bitcoin can do. It might help if the U.S. bought a" huge amount "of Bitcoin and made it appreciate, but it doesn't solve the problem of $35.46 trillion in debt that has grown almost exponentially since the 1980s."
