4月10日讯，在10日外交部记者会上，有记者就惠誉国际信用评级公司下调中国主权信用评级展望提问。“你提的这个问题我注意到中国财政部已经作出了回应。”对此，中国外交部发言人毛宁表示，“我想告诉你的是，中国经济长期向好的基本态势没有改变，中国维护主权信用的决心和能力也不会改变。”
