Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao meets with Canada's Minister of International Trade Wu Fengyi

On November 17th, on November 16th, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Canada's Minister of International Trade Wu Fengyi in Lima, Peru. The two sides had practical and candid communication on China-Canada economic and trade relations and economic and trade issues of mutual concern. Wang Wentao pointed out that the Canadian side has taken discriminatory restrictions on Chinese electric vehicles, steel and aluminum products, and continued to tighten the foreign investment review of Chinese enterprises, which has brought severe challenges to China-Canada economic and trade relations. The Canadian side should take practical actions to rationally define the national security boundary and create a good environment for China-Canada economic and trade cooperation.
