据路透社11月15日报道，两名民主党参议员在路透社记者15日看到的一封信件中称，出于国家安全理由，五角大楼和执法机构应该就有关亿万富翁埃隆·马斯克与包括普京在内的俄罗斯官员进行过多次通话的报道展开调查。这两名参议员在落款日期为15日的联名信中写道：“美国的一个众所周知的敌国与美国政府巨额资金的受益者马斯克先生的这些关系，将构成对马斯克作为政府承包商和涉密人员的可靠性的严重质疑。”报道称，自《华尔街日报》上个月报道上述所谓的联络活动以来，多名民主党议员已经公开呼吁对马斯克与莫斯科的通信展开调查，但这封写给有权启动此类调查的政府官员的信件此前尚未见诸报端。（参考消息）
