Altos Ventures' new fund completes $500 million fundraising, plans to explore AI, blockchain and other fields

Altos Ventures has raised $500 million for its new fund, focusing on artificial intelligence, cyber security, cloud computing and blockchain to support the next generation of tech disruptors, according to a Securities Exchange Commission filing. Altos Ventures has invested in more than 250 companies, including more than a dozen that have gone public or been acquired by listed companies. Its portfolio includes South Korean e-commerce giant Coupang and gaming platform Roblox, known as the "first stock in the meta-universe". However, Altos Venture has so far declined to comment on the fundraising of the new fund.
