On November 12th, according to Whale Alert monitoring, Tether Treasury minted 2 billion new USDT on Ethereum at around 1:07 am Beijing time. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino commented that this is an authorized but unissued transaction, which means that it will be used as inventory for the next issue request and on-chain exchange.
