Vinay Gupta, a technologist who helped coordinate the launch of Ethereum, said he is seeking to push a sensible crypto policy towards President-elect Donald Trump's transition team.
In addition, inspired in part by Mr. Trump's landslide victory on election day, Mr. Gupta is considering moving himself and his team at UK-based blockchain company Mattereum to the US. "We plan to move people (including me) to Washington DC soon to help with the cryptocurrency transition in the US," he added.
Vinay Gupta said that part of his plan involves replicating some of the policies he helped develop in the U.K., including a recently introduced parliamentary bill that seeks to formalize crypto assets as property, and a successful push for the country to recognize smart contracts as "actual contracts."
