The Ethereum Foundation says it is launching the first short-term Pectra testnet, Mekong, after a scoping assessment of the Pectra fork, a successful interoperability event, and four development networks. The Mekong testnet contains all the EIP proposals that will be used for the Ethereum Pectra fork. These changes include user experience (UX) improvements via EIP-7702, staking changes via EIP-7251, deposit and exit mechanism changes via EIP-6110/EIP-7002, and more.
