Semler Scientific (SMLR), a medical apparatus company, has reported Q3 results, having bought 47 bitcoins for $3 million since disclosing the buy-in at the end of August. As of Nov. 4, the company held 1,058 bitcoins at a total cost of $71 million, which is worth about $71.40 million at bitcoin's current price of $67,500.
Eric Semler, chairperson of Semler Scientific, said: "We are seizing the opportunity to maximise shareholder value by increasing our bitcoin holdings. We plan to continue to purchase bitcoin with cash from operations and cash proceeds from ATM project sales. In addition, we are exploring other funding opportunities so that we can purchase more bitcoin."
