Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, clarified on Twitter that Tether has no plans to launch an official blockchain at this time. He stated that one of the main reasons for not launching Tether Chain is to maintain neutrality, and it is more important for Tether to work with other companies and communities than to achieve centralization. He also noted that there are multiple independent layer 2 solutions currently exploring ways to use USDT as a support for transaction fees.
