On November 1st, the Ministry of Commerce, the China Securities Supervision Commission, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the State Administration of Taxation, the State Administration of Market Regulation, and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange revised and issued the "Measures for the Administration of Strategic Investment by Foreign Investors in Listed Companies". The revised "Measures" facilitate foreign investors' strategic investment in listed companies and allow foreign natural persons to implement strategic investment. The original "Measures" only allow foreign legal persons or other organizations to implement strategic investment, and foreign natural persons cannot implement investment. This amendment is consistent with the "Foreign Investment Law of the People's Republic of China" and includes foreign natural persons in the category of foreign investors and allows them to implement strategic investment in listed companies.
