According to Fortune, blockchain content verification platform OpenOrigins announced the completion of a $4.50 million seed round of financing, led by Galaxy Interactive. The company plans to use the new financing to expand its commercial team and expand its business.
OpenOrigins, founded in 2021, combats fake media by using blockchain technology to verify the authenticity of photos, videos, and other digital content, which is recorded on the Hyperledger blockchain. It has partnered with British media production company ITN.
