11月1日消息，以太坊基金会成员成立非盈利及民主组织的研发小组Argot Collective，该组织将专注于维护与以太坊相关的软件。该小组的创始成员由大约25名现任以太坊基金会员工组成，项目最初重点将集中在智能合约和验证服务上。其治理结构基于Enspiral基金会实施的框架，将以完全民主的方式运作，成员拥有高度自主权。
